Okotoks Tennis Centre offers opportunities for youth to grow as a tennis player throughout the year. Our camps and fall programs are run by Scott Wilson, our OTC professional. Scott will focus on skill development, while building enjoyment of the great game of tennis.

2017 Fall / Winter Programming:
All programs are developed to provide a fun tennis experience for everyone. There is a great variety that will appeal to all age groups. Registrations are on a first-come, first-serve basis and we encourage you to enter early to ensure a spot. Tennis programs are taught by a Tennis Canada certified instructor and are held at the Okotoks Recreation Centre.
All programs are scheduled for the following dates in 2017:
Saturday Morning Progressive Tennis
Utilizes Progressive Tennis which introduces the sport of tennis in a fun and interactive way and ensures immediate success for young players. Using modified tennis balls, racquets, nets and courts, young players are properly equipped to enjoy rallies and learn the fundamentals of the game early on.
The times are as follows:
Tennis for tots: 5 – 6 yr 9:00 – 9:40 AM
U10 7, 8, 9 yr 9:40 – 10:20 AM
U13 10, 11, 12 yr 10:20 – 11:00 AM
2017 Winter Cardio Tennis for Juniors
Cardio Tennis for adults has proven to be very successful and fun for players, facilities and tennis professionals. So, it just makes sense that the same would apply to kids.
And remember, most important, the FUN factor! Cardio Tennis was meant for kids! Kids have been in school all day cooped up listening to teachers and sitting. When they come to tennis they want to run around, play games, listen to music and have fun.
Just like adult Cardio Tennis, CT4kids needs to include the three segments of warm-up, drills and games.
Age group: 13 -18 yr 11:00 AM – noon

2017 Rogers Rookie Tour
The Rogers Rookie Tour is a national program designed to bridge the gap between entry level tennis and the provincial competitive junior circuit.
The Rogers Rookie Tour reaches thousands of juniors each year at tennis clubs and tennis centres throughout the country, and encourages these players to continue through the tennis pathway to become regular competitors and/or lifelong tennis enthusiasts.
Boys and girls up to the age of 15 are eligible to play in Rogers Rookie Tour events. Progressive tennis format principles will be applied for Under 8 and Under 10 events, using smaller courts and lower compression balls. All events in the Rogers Rookie Tour will be non-elimination set-up. Each player is guaranteed a minimum of 3 matches. Players may enter one age group per event.
